At Ambition Performing Arts Inc, health and safety are our most important priorities.

As COVID-19 continues to spread and affect many parts of the world, we have been communicating with the Dance Events we are registered in this season for teams and performances. We are all keeping ourselves dutifully informed on the recommendations of Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health.

At this time, all Dance Events are still holding their events as scheduled. As we get closer to the event dates, we will know more and act accordingly. I assure you, we will make the best decisions with the most credible information available at that time.

At the studio, we continue to keep our environment pristinely clean and regularly disinfected throughout the day. I personally worked on a COVID-19 protocol and response plan for our studio in early February. Today, it is being published and presented to over 5,000 dance studio owners and members in the More Than Just Great Dancing affiliated network. I assure you, we are on-top of making healthy and informed decisions.

In an effort to reduce the amount of people in the building, please drop your student off and then exit for the duration of their class period. For parents and students under 6, we encourage you to walk your children in to the building, but ask that you exit once they are in their classroom. Non-dancers will not be allowed to gather in the lobby and hallways.

The studio was deep cleaned for disinfection today and we will be taking extra measures to disinfect during and between all classes moving forward. You will see that some props and teaching tools that are difficult to keep clean have been removed and teachers will be restructuring lessons to emphasize instructional elements that do not require partnership.

All classes are proceeding as scheduled going forward. If there are any changes, we will communicate them promptly to our families.

Our faculty is working hard as always to provide a great experience for the students and families, at the studio, and at extra events. Having said that, we 100% respect your decision as parents in regard to attendance. If you are uncomfortable with your child attending classes and/or Dance Festival events, please let us know so we can make appropriate adjustments to choreography.

If anything changes with the Dance Festival dates, studio schedule, Recital, or with this plan, we will let you know. You have the most current information in this message.

I know everyone is closely following developments in all areas of their lives impacted by this challenging situation. I want to assure you that we are making informed decisions. I also want to share that keeping ourselves physically and emotionally healthy is very important to our overall wellbeing and resiliency. Bring your child to class if you have no reason not to…the exercise and creativity will do us all some good.

Thank you for your support!
